Coding Grant

We are pleased to partner with RoboGarden and
SMART Technologies on an initiative to bring coding
education to up to 4 Million students
from across the USA and Canada.

This year, up to 4,000
schools will receive a School-Wide License
for RoboGarden’s Coding Software.

What is RoboGarden?

RoboGarden is a fun and easy way
for students to learn coding.

Students are presented with a mission and
use programming to solve the challenge.
Each time students are successful, they are
presented with incrementally more complex
challenges to solve.

How Does RoboGarden Work?

Picture

Students begin learning to code through a "Blockly"
drag-and-drop interface, and eventually transition to
real-world coding languages like JavaScript and Python

The software is "self-directed" meaning that students can learn
at their own pace, and that teachers don't need to be
programmers to have success.  If the software detects
that students have made a mistake in their coding,
it provides hints to guide them to the solution.

Picture

RoboGarden is more than "coding software",
it's a complete coding solution for students from
grades 1 through 9.

Lessons are built around NGSS principals and
reinforce grade-level science and math curriculum.

The educator dashboard makes it easy for teachers
and administrators to monitor student progress.
