Girls programming Humanoid Robot
JD is an advanced humanoid robotics kit that is exceptional for a wide range of STEM education.

It's so powerful that students can program advanced functions like speech recognition, vision tracking, and AI (artificial intelligence)... while also being incredibly easy to use.

  • The human design is fun and appeals to both boys and girls - inspiring students of all ages and academic abilities to want to learn programming and robotics!
  • Students can name their robot, and program it to respond to their voices - allowing for verbal communication.
  • 18 RGB LED's in his eyes provide the opportunity to program unlimited expressions in millions of colors.
  • ​The camera in JD's head can be used for vision recognition to track color, motion, glyphs, QR codes, and more.  He can even be programmed to recognize your face, and greet you by name!
  • JD has a built-in speaker.  Students can record their voice and upload sound files, allowing them to choreograph complex movement sequences.
  • Students can use the JD Humanoid Robotics kit to access Microsoft's AI (Cognitive Services) allowing even elementary students to begin to learn real-world robotics and advanced computer science skills.
  • The graphic interface used to program movements reinforces math concepts and builds strong visual-spatial skills.
  • The modular design allows users to easily innovate and build new robotic applications and designs.
  • All of the STL design files for the white plastic pieces are available within the software.  Users can customize and 3D print parts to personalize their humanoid robots.

Built to withstand the rigors of the classroom, JD is made with strong ABS plastic and boasts 16 degrees of freedom with metal-gear digital servos... meaning he has 16 motorized joints for walking, dancing or anything that you teach him!
